From Baba’s Wisdom to Baba’s Balm

Baba’s Balm began on Florida playgrounds with my nephews. We loved being outside together, but the bug bites often left us scratching long after we got home. Watching them struggle, and getting bitten myself, made me want a way to soothe the discomfort and help prevent future bites so we could enjoy those afternoons more comfortably.

That search brought me back to my Slavic roots and my grandmother, whom we call Baba. She shared a family formula her own grandmother had used on her, and that she later used to care for her children. It was a simple bit of family wisdom, passed from one generation to the next.

With a bachelor’s degree in science and a master’s degree in health sciences, I brought my education and curiosity to that tradition. I wanted to turn Baba’s practical care into something easy to use and easy to keep close. That is how Baba’s Balm came to life.

Made with tea tree oil, shea butter, jojoba oil, beeswax, and vitamin E, Baba’s Balm helps protect and repair the skin’s moisture barrier while moisturizing and softening skin. Its rich formula and convenient applicator bring targeted care to dry, uncomfortable skin without scooping balm from a jar.

What started with my nephews became something I wanted to share with adults, too. Whether tucked into a bag or kept at home, Baba’s Balm is made to fit into everyday life. Each small batch carries the spirit of care that inspired the original formula.

The name is my tribute to Baba, our family’s Slavic roots, and those Florida afternoons. My dream is to share that care with other families, helping adults and children feel more comfortable as they enjoy life’s everyday moments.
